Meet Bentley my Black Copper Maran rooster rescued mind you we had no idea what he was until recently

I am back home and the roosters in the bachelor pen started fighting. My husband had to separate one of them. Here are a few pictures of some of my birds. The white leg band Blue Copper cockerel has a lighter grey feather in his tail but it is not white.

It means reserve of variety.

The judging score abbreviations are:
Best of breed = BB
Reserve of breed = RB
Best of variety = BV
Reserve of variety = RV

Next year I hope to produce a Marans that wins best of breed or best of variety. Gotta have goals!

They are looking great! I hate when riff raff breaks out amongst the birds. All those male hormones just cannot be contained sometimes. Lol
