there are other 2 hens but I don't know what colours. there is also a golden cuckoo roo but I am after silver gene pool. is there any worth buying? they probably are mixed colours.

I would like to produce silver birchen marans.

my friend those are good looking marans chooks .yes they do have they own faults .the comb is one of them .
over all .they do have a proper marans body type .
nice tails .
silver genes plus a cuckoo too . that will be handy if you want to recreate the Silver Black { birchen} variety .
they are worth buying .especially the Blue cuckoo hen in the first photo .must buy , and the cuckoo cockerel.
this pair you must buy .here a deal . I could not send you any marans eggs because of the distance .So what I ll do is paying for this pair as a gift to you my dear friend .I do like the first hen 100% and a cuckoo cockerel .you can breed many good marans out of them in the future . DO NO SAY NO .
if you still want to buy than buy another pair .

there is many many peoples in this planet ,but only few of them we can call a friends .

the hen looks blue but as the guy got the eggs from the same farm and the roos are blue cuckoo the hens should be blue cuckoo as well.

I have to see her from near as I suspect she might have side sprigs. another problem is that her comb has 1 dent. the good thing is that her comb is not twisted. so should a hen with a 1 dent comb be a breeder?

1 roo looks ok exept his comb. his comb has 1 really big dent in the middle. his body type and tail look much better than the other 2 roos.

I l buy her even if she is comb less . buying her just for her body type correct 100% .that what you need first in the hen . the comb can come later .

I alway say .Hen = body type plus egg colour
Rooster = Body colour
comb and other stuff come from both . could be enhanced in the future by selective breeding .

I do need a nice Black Copper rooster for sure.

got some fertile eggs from @kfelton0002 , her strain will work great with your Blue copper . from eggs if you lucky you end up with a nice BC pair . that only what you need .than work with them both next breeding season ..

BC rooster over a BLC hen give a best result.

I have 2 set of 2 brothers . 2 cockerels from my friend Philip and 2 from my friend Liza
Liza s cockerels. .

both have a nice body pattern but one of them his hackle is more of a golden rather than copper . good body type a tall cockerels but solidly build .nice straight legs

cockerel #1 has a perfect body type and body pattern.his copper is a little litter but uniform . I m going to use him a lot over Liza s hens . out cross the 2 lines .

Cockerel#2 has a better mass and better copper .rich red quality .lucking the complete body pattern ,very important . I m going to use him only with some specific hen .I do have 2 pullets for him from Liza s line . out cross the 2 lines
