He is 6 ft tall wouldn't he be a killer if he where real. A regular size rooster can do some damage. LolHe's a hot mess SOP wise but I like him too! Don't cull him!![]()

Caught Xena laying yesterday. This is her egg. She is the full sister to my blue copper hen. The blue/black line has certainly come a long way.

I put numbered wing bands on all the babies today. I have the wing bands color coded for each pen. I am a little worried that the Blue Coppers are way too dark. I am worried I won't be able to tell them from black. It is so odd that the faces where too light but they are feathering in so dark. When I get home tomorrow I will take pictures.

So sorry! They are destructive. We only let our Marans out 1 to 2 hours in the evening. They graze and when it gets close to dark they go back in to roost. Well since the neighbors pit started living at our house. The chickens can't graze in the evenings. I have never had a dog dig to get on our property. Usually in the past it has been our dogs digging to get out.Oh goodness! He would finish destroying my flower beds for sure! Lol
My chickens have demolished my lillies and hostas..I have had to pull anything tender out of the main bed and plant boxwoods and other shrubs that the chickens can't kill.

I transplanted tomato seedlings and the next day a few of my chickens escaped and ate half of them![]()
