very good to know .
she look like is a mothers of the 2 pullwts .

so pen the 2 Blue pullets with Blaze .they share a same sire .so we are breeding to the sire .
pen Nimbus to his mother to breed a Dam line separatly .

you don t need many pen to do that just one pen for breeding and one to hold a rooster separately .
pen a Blue hen and her 2 daughter Blue pullets with Blaze first .hatch few Dz than remove the Blaze and the 2 pullets from breeding pen and replace them him Nimbun ,hatch few Dz and you done . 20 to 25 from each pairing and you will see how balanced they look . you end up with 2 lines .

PS do not need to breed from 6 hens .make you confuse .keep it simple .

they still young we have to see how they do and what colour are they eggs .if all good.when they are a year old pen them with both cockerel to produce 2 set of half sibling chicks .

35 Splash rooster over BC
49 Splash cockerel over Blue copper
2 cockerel 10 weeks old ,one BLC Frensh type well chunky and well feathered legs . the first marans of this season to be fitted with a new ring ,right fit.Number#1.look cool
1 BC English type clean leg ,a little smaller . his legs are still small ,the ring doesn t hold.

both cockerels are good type both have a M type comb .Ah they where a gift from Liz s did not pay for them .

Good day today .I did not have to drive for 2 hours to pick the eggs and the 2 clay wheaten hens .a friend of mine drop them to my place at mid day . nice to have friend .1 gave me the eggs and the chooks other friend drove them to me . all good energy around those chooks .
32 wheaten hen fertile eggs .big size .long type .#4and #5 .
2 clay wheaten .almost look like a bad BTB . they have what I need the extra Mahogany gene. to make a Red Marans .

RED MARANS IN THE MAKING DOWN UNDER .
Main sire of this new variety is my Blue Tail Buff . Day Walker .big and correct .

Day Walker X Dark wheaten pullets = Red Marans .
