Blaze is in with Ruby and she has started laying again. I have 6 eggs in the last 7 days. I am so tempted to fire my Incubator. Would it be worth it if only one or two hatched. Ruby will be a year old April 21st. Jade and Pearl are not laying.

Doesn t do any harm if u incubate than. How big are those eggs

I’m doing the happy dance I just picked up a rooster. It came originally from feather lover farm who apparently has the newest import that green fire farms had. I’ll post pictures soon

All these copper marans are beautiful! I only have wheaten marans at the moment, but I would love copper marans in the future sometime! ❤

They are a little small I think 62g. I am really tempted though since I am sure they came from the hen you said was the best Blue Copper.

62 g still small. 65 g is a minimum a week. More.

Okay here are my wheaten marans....

Shelley
Shelley was born in March 2018 I bought him as an egg from a breeder and he has been a great cockerel ever since. I also got his half sister (same dad, different mum) at the same time.

Spice
Spice was born in March 2018, she is the half sister of Shelley and she was the meanest chicken on the planet, but she seems to have calmed down recently and doesn't attack the other chickens.

Speedy
Speedy was born in May 2019, she is the daughter of Shelley and Spice. I really love Speedy because she was the only egg out of a clutch of eight that hatched under my pekin bantam hen, so she was bullied when she went into the LF flock. She seems to have been accepted now so finger crossed.

Unnamed Egg
This egg is the baby of Speedy and Shelley and is due to hatch in four days so I will send pictures if all goes well when it hatches!

I am currently trying to find some more wheaten maran hens to get fresh bloodline because I cant really breed from these anymore because they are all related so closely. Here are some photos of them all together....
