I love the dark eyes.. I guess it doesn’t really matter what I like when it comes to the breed standards 😂

I feel like breeder I bought them from was very honest but he was getting on in years. He was breeding many rare and exotic birds and other pure breeds as well. He showed me all his birds and I saw the pens where my chicks came from and they where all beautiful FBCM. He told me all his FBCM came from a breeder in France and then shipped to him through Florida. Now, where I was unsure ....and should have said something at the time (especially because im now visibly doubting what I have are FBCM) is when he went to get the chicks. One of his brooders wasn’t working so he had to put the FBCM in another brooder that just hatched chicks as well. He was telling me he could tell FBCM from the other chicks even though there were other dark chicks in with them. He was showing me how to tell them apart...only what he was telling me wasnt matching with what he was picking up and giving me (did I mention he was really old). I was too shy to say something.... now I’m kicking myself!!!!!!!!:he

@Punkybrewster

I like this grumpy looking cockerel ,thick ,wide ,strong head ,good thick solid feet well feathered without going over the top ,just enough .
love his feet color not too dark ,light colored toes

This is #1 as a chick you said to keep an eye on. I like him too. He is gentle and quiet. Stands away and watches everything.

Their eyes do have an orangey red look to them. It’s hard to get a good pic bc I’m in Texas and the darn sun makes everything look dark!!
My cockerels are huge but not showing any Copper color. It took them months to feather out, too!! Is it too early for that? Or I’m thinking he mixed up the breeds. I’m content for now with the 2 pullets. I was hoping to breed them but I think I’m gonna have to look elsewhere for another breeder😢

Big oops 😬

does mean if they are from a same pair they have to look similar .for that to happen the breeders pair have proven to be potent . POTENT chooks is the one can throw baby chicks like her/him all the time regardless of they mate . very rare to find .
or maybe they are not from a same pairing .

She only has one rooster and 6 or 7 hens. She is not a "breeder". But YES! I want the exact clones of what i had before! Is that too much to ask?!
In my rainbow, unicorn world its not. Haha
🙂

Is it just me or does she have a rose comb?
Shoot now you have me wondering after looking at the pictures. I’m going back out now to look
That would be funny. Rose comb FBCM.... want one? 😂
Just got back from the pen. She is not rose comb. Very small points right now. Did not stay still enough for me to take picture of it
