International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

Mis translation??? I was not contradicting anything in the SOP What I said was I would rather have a hen that laid 3 eggs that were a #7 on the egg chart, than a hen that laid 5 eggs that were a #4 on the egg chart. Sorry if I did not say it correctly TOM

You got me on this one my friend.
How about 4 eggs color 6

These guys are out in the cull pen. One of the BC cockerels I am wondering about. He has some color like found on the chest but on his back.View attachment 2317837

He is gorgeous. Not a cull what wrong with him? He have a best head of all the cockerels you showed me before. Black jack and Ace. More photos of him Please

He has brown spots that I don't like. I have never seen spots like that on them before. He has color on his chest but just a little. Which is fine. You can see them all across him. That's why I left him in the cull pen. I see a white spot. Not sure about that. Other than that he is fine and would have moved him over.

Hey everyone, just checking in. Hope all is well. It hasn't been the best year for me raising Marans but I have a few. We have battles raccoons all summer. Once the grow outs are a little older I will take some pics. So far, my favorite black copper cockerel with good copper somehow broke his wing yesterday. He probably had a run in with a game rooster. I've had to tape his wing to set it so hopefully he will heal. There is a blue copper cockerel I have my eye on as well, and one black copper pullet. Im seeing TONS of dark and marbled eyes in my grow outs. There are only a few with clearer eyes.

Summer keeps us busy keeping the birds watered and cared for. That coupled with working full time in Healthcare I dont get a lot of free time. Sorry for my absence. :)
