now that I managed to breed and select my foundation breeders , the real work begin .forming families and trying to breed any fault out .

Shamrock baby .Blue chicks standing ,look exactly like his sire when hatched . gorgeous hatch down pattern ,this chicks is not cuckoo ,his dam is solid Black hen E/ER ,s+/s+ ,his sire is ER/ER , S/s+ ,this guy will be solid Blue . hope will grow as fast as his sire . many brother and sisters are hatching today .

How do you know that’s a cockerel and how old is he?

I need to rename Idiot, something appropriate for the fool he is. Now the ladies have eaten his feathers off his neck down to his chest and have started back on his comb. It is not a protein thing as I feed them 20% all flock, it is more of, "Hey he let me do it, so why not, it was fun."

Actually the more he is around, the more I dislike him. I have eggs with him as sire in the incubator, due to hatch on May 4th, hopefully they have more than 2 brain cells to rub together.
