International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

@Punkybrewster =
what I m trying to tell you is , in the end of the breeding season you should have progenies from ;
pen #1 older hens to a yellow tag rooster ( pullets pen ) , only dark eggs layer pullets .
pen #1 older hen to a second rooster ( pullets pen ) . only dark eggs layer pullets .

pen #2 the selected 3 pullets . to a yellow tag rooster ( cockerels pen ) 2 best and faultless cockerels.
pen #2 the selected 3 pullets to a good comb rooster ( cockerels pen ) 2 best and faultless cockerels .

hope all this blah blah make sense to you .
this is only stage 2 .

in case there will be dark egg layers from this pen wouldn't it be a bonus?
not counting on it but if does happen ,than like you said it is a bonus .
in this breeding pen we are moving forward to the F2 generation , the grand sire to all this progeny from both side ( Dams and sire ) regardless witch rooster we will use will be Seamus .
the mature hens pen we are doing a first back cross to a dark eggs layer . that I will produce dark eggs layer for sure . what percentage ,not sure , I ll say 50/50 . the grand sire to all this progeny will be different . from the sire line will be Seamus and from the Dams side will be others .
