International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

Photo dump. Blue and Black pullets, plus some of Loki but I took pictures of the wrong side of his comb. Don’t think he has a side sprig though. They are very nice looking Marans great body type , very deep chest on both hens .looking at both hens from these photos I can see the blue hen is larger with a deeper chest but her tail look high to me maybe just a photos are taken from the wrong angle need side view to tell the tail angle . The black copper hens look a little smaller but she has a longer flat back with a lovely small tail at the right angle.
For me to have a proper idea I need to see proper working photos taken from front, side , back and top to see all side of the bird standing position.

Here are some working photos a example for you :
Front photo we can see the the space between the legs and the width of the body , depth of the chest

Photo from the side so we can see the top line of the bird, the length and the tail angle

From the rear so we can see the width of the it’d , the position of the tail and the straightness of the leg

this is a good photos of your Black copper hen. I can see she has a long body type ,deep chest ,long flat back and gorgeous small tail at the right angle .
her feathers are free from any fluffiness ( cushon type ) super sleek feathers the way they should be .very nice and complete hackle marking .
all your 3 chooks look like they don t have bright orange eyes is that from the photos or realy they don t have an orange eyes /
I really like this hens .
need more photos from the frot and the back plus some of the Blue one too .

from this photo I can see she have well feathered feet right amount of feathers .good coloration and free from any parasitic white .
very good feet .

from this photo I see she has very nice small comb .freee from any defect . the lobe is well lifted no touching the head .
so far only her eyes colour are not right . let me know if it is just a camera or they are yellowish

@BlueTheBrahma your cockerel comb from this side look stunning .I will say even perfect .the right size ,the right number of popint well spaced and placed .the lobe nice and clear well liftted .nice texture. need to see photo of the other side please .

Unfortunately it isn’t just the camera. They may be a bit oranger in real life but not a lot. I wouldn’t even know where to start breeding for eye colour.

Sometimes he appears to have a longer body, other times not, I think it’s his pose. Squirrel tail not just his pose, it is always this angle, which is a shame because it would look quite nice if it was held a bit lower.

Unfortunately it isn’t just the camera. They may be a bit oranger in real life but not a lot. I wouldn’t even know where to start breeding for eye colour.

We can work on the colour of they eyes later . Easy fix
What important to us now is the body type. Mass and the dark eggs .

That is a problem . From the phitos you have posted I will say : him mated to the black pullets they will produce some progeny with a good shape and angle like they mama but not sure with a blue hens . I ll wait till I see better photos.
