Exactly.
They could be pretty to look at but useless in other ways.

After my girls molt, I do have to cull the highest tailed ones. They caused a lot of narrow cockerels with squirrel tails.

IF they don't lay a very dark egg.

I know.
I told him I need good type. That was #1 priority.
He had 4 cockerels available and I took 3.

I didn't ask questions.

If it is split wing, how very bad would that be?
hope we don t go there split wing is very bad because it is part of the body type not cosmetic .
I m not saying it is split wing ,I m just commenting in what I see . let them sattle and rest we see how they do in few months .we don t jump into conclusion too fast .

high tail traits is not related to a narrow body type ,it is related to short back .
narrow body type trait is related to narrow X legs and less developed abdomen

I did post a photo of my rooster Africs he has a high tail but gorgeous chunky body type

bizare to me but could be just te molt like he said .
i m just trying to make sure we are not missing any thing , we have to get alright this time .
check and check again ,and when we finish checking we restart checking again and again .trait by trait all the important post .

I went out to look and everyone is holding their wings properly. maybe the 3 hour travel and new home made them hold them differently? Stress?

I have no time now but will go check later again.

that great news .I just had to highlight that point .
we realy need good cockerels , from them we will bred great pullets and from the pullets we will breed dark eggs layer . this is the order of marans breeding and selection .
