Noooo don’t tell me that lol. I got her from a pullet Pullet BCM bin at Wilco. I already have two cockerels I won’t be able to keep that are BYM.My young pullet chicks are always skittish until they reach egg laying age, then they become friendlier.
My young cockerels are friendly from the beginning
Also, the older they are when you get chicks, the less friendly they tend to be at first.
They have not been handled by you since hatch.
This will change as they mature.
Your pullet looks to be slow feathering as opposed to fast feathering. Nothing to worry about.
She's pretty.
Are you sure not a he?
Let he/she do some more growing and post a photo in a couple of weeks.Noooo don’t tell me that lol. I got her from a pullet Pullet BCM bin at Wilco. I already have two cockerels I won’t be able to keep that are BYM.
Her legs are really long, she looks like a turkey lol. I didn’t know if that was just a trait of BCMsLet he/she do some more growing and post a photo in a couple of weeks.
You will know by then.
Hatchery sexing is not perfect.
Either way, that's really nice hatch down coming from a hatchery. I'm impressed!
Some are short and stocky, some are tall and lean. Her legs are really long, she looks like a turkey lol. I didn’t know if that was just a trait of BCMs
Very nice but very small too
Can you please more photo from different angles so we can see all the body part .This is my 3 week old French BCM (idk if there’s a difference or if they are all French) I’m pretty new to chicken tendering and she is soooo skittish absolutely panics about being picked up, I actually dropped her on her neck because she flailed out of my hands so hardshe is also not feathering like my 2 OEs I have her with or my older chickies. I was wondering if anyone had some breed specific advice.
Slow feathering type chicks will not show tail feathering till they pass 8 weeks or more .My young pullet chicks are always skittish until they reach egg laying age, then they become friendlier.
