Suggestions for leg bands.. what does everyone use? What size?

What's wrong with just using different colors of zip ties? Any difference besides some are reusable?

i use zip tie leg bands. I have toyed with wing bands, but I am a wimp and don't like giving them piercings, even though in the long run it can be very helpful with lifelong tracking. Most of my birds get sold to pay the feed bill for the rest of the birds, though, and most folks just want a laying hen so a wing band would be wasted on them.

nothing wrong. if you don't have 100+ birds you don't need numbers. just take a note book and write down.

I use wing bands along with colored zip ties for quick identification.

I used to hate wing banding, but after doing hundreds and realizing they really dont mind, it doesnt bother me anymore.

Ive tried toe punching but could not get clean punches and would have them heal up without a hole. Not a method for me. Many love it though.

GreatSong is really great cockerel .love every thing about him .all the marans qualities are there .long ,stretchy with a good tail and great legs ,he could do with more legs feathering but that easy thing to fix .he excell in all the area part of the great body conformation .now we wait and see how his body color will be .

I dont like her high tail.

I Had a lot of squirrel tail cockerels culled this year too. I see who is passing this trait when I look at my hens. I kept them because they lay dark but its time for them to go.

yes he is chucky with a wide stance but he has a short back and square body type ,it is not what we are looking for ,
he has to go .cull
