chooks man
Who listens to their wives?!
Not how things are done around here... 😂

They are very pretty. Had to zoom in to see the bluish tint on the base of his tail and some tail feathers. Is that considered blue under his wing?

Very stocky girl too.. well done.

yes I know each hen eggs .I never pen togerther 2 hens lay a similar eggs .
I had my hens for 4 and 6 years so I realy know them by heart every thing about each hen .
chooks man
I knew you were gonna say that... 😂
I know Joannie's, Jett's and Betty's. Very different. Them will be the first eggs I set. (With your advise of course)
I'm 95% positive the newest 3 came from 1 or more of them.
Tagging and test mating is so important to me first.

I decided to start hatching some chicks from my Blue copper rooster and Splash hen. So far 2 splash and 3 blue (one still in the incubator) I'm planning on holding a few of the splash back so will do a larger batch in hopes of getting more

Here are some of the boys who made it through the second round of culling, although the blue silver guy isn't great, I just love the quality of the blue color, he might have that splash gene too. The turkeys were eating his saddle feathers and picking at his tail, but he's a good size and shape. All the black silver boys are pretty decent. The splash looks great for his age, I want to watch his progress so he was spared. There's a few more guys out there for sure.
