I took a couple pictures of the girls for a different thread because a member was doing a 12 days of Christmas and wanted pictures of “French hens”. They came out well enough I thought I would share them here as well

Betty was too worried about getting off the milk can to take a natural pose

Penny was more cooperative and happy to pose for a picture

I got tagged for that but have no decorations up. It's been chaos here with grandbabies and all we got is a tree up and I'm not bringing chickens in the house... 'again'.
You got some good pics, the one with Penny is a wall hanger.

Thanks, my wife said that Penny one would make a good Christmas card but she already sent it cards out for this year. I might try getting better shot of Betty today if she will cooperate. And maybe one of Blue. Blue is an olive egger French on her dad’s side of the family.

Yes, the wife is spot on with the Christmas card idea.
My next thought was getting Axl on that milk can, I know not for the thread but just because rooster.
But make sure you have video going also to capture the mayhem.

Axl might agree without too much mayhem. I have been picking him up every couple days to look at this comb from the frostbite so he is getting used to it. It’s just a matter of getting him to stand still long enough to aim the camera after I set him down.

Blue was pretty happy to get some attention and be the center of attention for a little bit. I just left the door to the run open while I took blue for her photo session. That was a bit of a mistake I should’ve grabbed Axl first he made me chase him around the yard. Once I had him he didn’t put up too much fuss and posed for the camera.

The light did a good job on this last batch of blue eggs. The rubber ring on the end made a decent seal and there wasn’t much light spillage. I haven’t had a chance to use on Marans eggs yet. It may not be bright enough.
