The light did a good job on this last batch of blue eggs. The rubber ring on the end made a decent seal and there wasn’t much light spillage. I haven’t had a chance to use on Marans eggs yet. It may not be bright enough.

Hopefully it works on the Marans eggs for you.

Been moving birds into different coops over the last week.
The Marans are now in the coop that pops into the new run and the 3 pullets went into their old coop next to it.
It's been a challenge keeping the hens out of their old coop, they still want to lay in there but I have to lock it up at roost time so they go into the new coop. Luckily it's not too much of a problem seeing that the pullets like to stay out til dead last.

Going to let them all get settled in and then swapping Roos. That gives me a good couple months to clear out King's input before hatch time.

Didn't know there was a limit. Don't matter much for me as I only have 1 video on mine... But seeing yours did spark me to make a couple here and there.

I've got quite a few of the ducks tho on my phone cuz their comedy gold when they get in their pool or anywhere near standing water.

Thats really cool! I didn't know they would eat nuts. We have two smaller walnut trees. They have had nuts on them for about the last 7 years. Our rottweiler eats the nuts as they fall. We didn't get many this year. She ate most of them. Now I need to get to them first and see if my Marans will eat them. Good protein for them but high fat content. They would make a really good snack in the cold winter months.
