Crowing
Hi, I want to adopt this blind amber-link, my flock is nine chickens, 5 ten week olds. (Rooster and 4 hens) and 3 7 week olds. (All hens) anything special I need to do? Here is my plan.
1. Set up a dog crate for her.
2. Get a chicken harness so she can be walked on grass, and what .not.
3. After 2 weeks, walk her by the chicken run, so she can hear them, and they can hear her.
4. Introduce them, with her in a puppy play pen, and them on the other side while free ranging.
Take one chicken out at a time to free range with her, over the course of a few days.
5. If all goes well, let her play supervised in the run with them.
6. If all goes well again, let her sleep in the coop.
She is 6 weeks older than them, I think that gives her a size advantage. Anything else I should know?
