Hi, thanks.
But you know what?...that was a long time ago. That rooster, Buffy is now just over a year old and that chick, Lucky, turned out to be another rooster! I still have them both but they have to be separated as most roosters have to be.
I hold them both every day. Buffy is always sweet but at dusk sometimes, watch out! Lucky is very impulsive. He will practically attack sometimes to get held and then rests his head on my chest and closes his eyes. He's kind of immature for his age of 11 months, maybe because his Mom was killed and he was an only child. Sometimes I think he thinks I'm his Mother.
Sometimes when I put him back in his area, he will jump into his container and make crying sounds. I feel bad but I can't hold him forever. I've been told his father was a Rhode Island Red, his Mother was a Barred Rock.
My gentler Buffy is an Opington. My Mookie who passed away was a Barred Rock.
My roosters do get jealous when I am holding the other one so I give them ALL alot of attention!
Michael
