Introducing a chick into older chickens

It takes time, there's no telling how long exactly....
...and lots of space and places to 'hide' can really help with stress and injuries.
I wasn’t planning on throwing little baby chicks in with big hens. There’s a place by my house that sells chicks, and the ones i was looking at were around 8-12 weeks. Even at that age i was going to wait a little bit and then put them in with the big ones. Just so i know the littles had enough strength to get away if need be. In previous comments, i said i was only planning on adding one more so its not like i’m adding 8 new baby chicks into my big hens lol.

Actually adding 8 baby chicks might be easier than a single 8-12 week old.
