I wasn’t planning on throwing little baby chicks in with big hens. There’s a place by my house that sells chicks, and the ones i was looking at were around 8-12 weeks. Even at that age i was going to wait a little bit and then put them in with the big ones. Just so i know the littles had enough strength to get away if need be. In previous comments, i said i was only planning on adding one more so its not like i’m adding 8 new baby chicks into my big hens lol.It takes time, there's no telling how long exactly....
...and lots of space and places to 'hide' can really help with stress and injuries.
