Meet 'Lil Lucy! We bought her from a women with 200+ chickens, pullets, roos and hens! She has a crooked beak, which thankfully doesn't effect her eating abilities. She is a Bantam Black Australorp and is 4 months old. What a sweetie! She will run over to me, going "Cheep, cheep cheep!" and jump onto my lap, arm or shoulder with great enthusiasm!
Enjoying a snuggle...
Sunbathing
"Why you sleeping? There's so much to explore!" (Lucy was actually trying to peck the flower, but it was so cute how she looked at Penny!)
Free-ranging with the flock...
Relaxing on my lap and observing the other "girls" below....
Listening to me whistle (it captures her attention and she studies me for a moment, long enough to "snap"!)
Nellie teaching Lucy how to "strut your stuff in the snow"!
