i am a “chicken tender” of only 2 years starting at age 69! I never had chickens before & started with 3 RRR’s! I fell in love! I raised them from chicks & in less than a month I knew I had to have MORE!
I now have 29 layers of various breeds from RRR’s, Americaunas, Black Australorps, Silver Laced & Golden Laced Wyandottes, a Buff Orpington, an Easter Egger, a White Wyandotte, NHR’s, Red Stars & an adopted mixed Bantam Roo with some Americaunas & who knows what else! His name is Mr Cam-a-Roo!
I don’t really know what else to say. I am a mother of 2 daughters, a grandmother x 5, 3 girls & 2 boys & a great grandmother x 5, so far, also 3 girls & 2 boys!
My husband of 53 years just beat cancers butt after a brutal chemo battle with an aggressive grade 3 non Hodgkin’s follicular lymphoma! We live in the country in North Carolina with 5 acres, 4 of which are pine trees!
We currently have 2 Shih Tzu’s, Coco is one of my pups from a short time of breeding & is now almost 10, Gunny, (a shout out to the Marines), who is 16 months old & a beautiful purebred AKC beagle named Scarlett, almost 3 months old, who is a feisty heifer & out does the energizer bunny!
