Introducing new birds to the flock

I have always did the oppsote I take the DOminant chicken and put it in with the Pullets, and a couple days later the next dominant, and after a few are acclimated totall Clean out and refesh the Coop maybe rearrange the roosts, change pen size and wear water and food is.. etc. and then bring all birds into the new and refreshed coop and pen, the new ones are disoriented and its like none know who is what and normall goes without a bad peck.. I am sure the others work also just how I have done it and will be doing it with My new pullets in a few weeks Expanding the pen double in size.... its like no one has a territory to fight anymore they think they are all in a new house...

ok want to tell you my situation. i have three buff orps and three Easter Eggers and they are 19 weeks. i decided that i wanted a few rir's so i bought up two. i dont have the room to make another pen to keep them seprate so i put them right in. the first few days were kinda rough but slowly they have accepted one of the two pullets (the two rir's are 18 weeks) the one that is an outsider keeps to her self and roosts in the rafters at night. i know it will take time for there to be peace in the coop but its hard to watch them hash it out. its not really that bad but i guess im confrontational. every morning i let them out of the coop and give them grapes, strawberries and cooked rice which they go crazy over. i cant get the outsider rir to come out of the coop so i make sure i through some into the pen for her, im hopng she will get with the program soon. is there a chance that she will never be accepted? i would hate to rehome her but will if i need to. also i rearranged the roosts in the coop cause i heard that helps when there is a change to their environment. i have a friend that really wants to give me a rir's roo but im not sure its such a good idea being that everything ive read has said that they are kinda mean. do you think that putting a roo in the coop will draw some attention way from the newbies? or will it creat new problems? this is my first time raising chickens and im having such a blast with it, i wish i would have done this earlier.thank you for any advice and i really enjoy reading all the post on this site. its a real learning experience
