Introducing New Ducks- imbalance of sexes

I have a free range duck flock consisting of 4 males and 1 female- 5 to 6 mos old- and my female has been laying for a few weeks at a minimum. Obviously this is a bit imbalanced and we wanted to level out the ranks a bit. As an added interest I have a 13 member chicken flock that also free ranges. I refer to them as the Bloods and the Ducks are the Crips- as they have had periodic territory disputes with one another.

Yesterday I picked up 2 female ducks- one Rouen and one a backyard mix. The Rouen is the smaller of the mix so I would estimate around 3 mos--the other is bigger but unsure of her age- maybe 4 mos. I currently have them in a coop with a fairly large run so the other ducks can meet them safely.

My ducks themselves seem very interested. My roosters went into attack mode (through the coop wire) then lost interest.

Would it be best to introduce them in the coop to our Pekin female and then later outside to all? Any suggestions on time frame?

I've read many of the other introduction threads but didn't find one that fit our make up. Thank you for your answers ahead of time!

Thank you Angel--- sounds like a good plan-- I am hoping to figure out the best way to intro the entire flock and keep my roosters off alert reaction too! lol

You def don't want to introduce not ready to mate females to drakes who are hormonal, so keep the girls together till they are old enough which is usually 4-5 to 5 months old.
And you want to be extremely careful with hormonal drakes around chicken hens some drakes don't care what they mate with and it can be a death sentence for a hen to have a drake mate with her. See how you female does with your new girls she might like a break from the boys too.

Sounds good Miss Lydia. My drakes so far have shown no interest in my chickens but the chicks have 2 roosters that are on constant watch. I did put her in with my new girls and she promptly went to sleep. We'll see how they do over the next few days
