Introduction and fox advice

Hey everyone I’m 20 had chickens my whole life.
I recently had my flock of 12 killed by a fox which had dug under a gate. Would love some advice rest of coop is safe as fences are high and underground however not sure how to fox proof a fence gate when it digs right under.

Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
Lay out one large piece of fencing (something very sturdy) that extends out 4 feet beyond the entry side of the gate and about 2 feet inside the gate and about 2 feet wider than the gate (cut the fencing to fit around the gate posts). Bury this fencing down about 2 inches. Pin it down well with long landscape pins then cover it with soil.
