You are right. Next time I will only buy Pullets . I did buy pullets with my first purchase, I bought 8. A hawk got 2 of them through chicken wire so I went back and they only had straight run. I gambled and lost. Lesson learned. Lol. I got 1 Rooster out of my original 8 "pullets" so no guarantees there either.
