Greetings,
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
New and learning. A few months ago we inherited chickens from a friend who had too many (is there such a thing).
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Three hens, they are around 2-3 years old not sure as friend had a mixture and wasn't sure which was which lol. They have names and personalities now though.
(3) What breeds do you have?
ISA Brown. Two have a dark brown neck and maybe sisters as they stick together and preen each other, the other light brown neck is adventurous.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The delicious eggs, being with the chickens and watching their antics.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gaming (board games and computer games), gardening, bushwalking.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Moved to Adelaide recently.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
From search engine whilst doing research, probably spent about 12 hours the first weekend reading about chickens.
