I was reading that iodine should be used to help chickens with fowlpox. I live in a small town so it’s hard to find but my local store does have some. What kind do I use on scabs and in water? Thanks so much for your help!
Fowl pox is a virus, and no treatment is necessary. Some put it on scabs to help dry them out, but it is not necessary. If any have scabs around the eyes, you can use plain Neosporin ointment in the eyes twice daily. Do you have any pictures of a chicken with pox?
