Hi there,
I have four ex battery hens in Ireland. I am originally from Australia and have been living in Ireland for the past two years. I got the girls on the 11th March 2017. I have always wanted chickens and I absolutely love them. I'm not sure what breed they are. They are a rusty red colour. I came across this website as I was looking for information on eggbound chickens. One of my girls is not well and I will be searching to see if she is eggbound as soon as the chemist is open in half an hour. I am an art therapist studying my diploma so I am home a lot with the chickens and my cat, shadow. The girls are Daisy, Claire, Tinker Bell and Sheila who is not well. Wish me luck!

Hello and welcome to BYC

Chances are your girls are a commercial hybrid and not a breed per se. Good luck with getting the Meds!

:welcome glad to have you join us.

Hope Sheila recovers.

You should post the problem with Sheila under the emergencies forum to get opines. If you give details on her actions, condition, physical exam, someone here may be able to help you diagnose the problem.

If you get individual pics of each with side views close ups and post under "what breed, gender" forum, maybe someone can help you discover the breeds.

Good luck with all.
