Is 4ft tall enough for duck run?

Basically the title. They will have a house to go into at night, that is secure and predator proof, but I was wondering if 4ft is tall enough for the fence? They will be out in the run most of the day, then go in their house at night. They are Runner and khaki Campbell ducks.

As long as you have some type of covering over the top so flying predators can't get to them

That should be adequate enough height for both of those breeds.

My cayugas could fly enough to fly over a 4ft enclosure fence. A couple of hops and wing pumps and they could manage. When i changed up to 48 inches they stopped flying over it. I think cayugas might be slightly larger than your breeds.

I didn't clip wings so you may need to watch and see if you need to.

I agree with the need for a cover.

I'll just add that 4 ft is good for them but is that enough room for you. You will need to get in there to clean and what not so keep that in mind while designing.

Give me patience, too. lol. We probably won't build the house this weekend, but are still hoping to get the enclosure down. Unfortunately, it wasn't supposed to start raining until tomorrow, but it's been raining ALL morning. :-(
