Is $75.00 a fair price for Pygmy Goat weanling?

Sure it is

(but I'm biased I prefer Nigis over Pygmies - have raised both). Of course you won't have ANY idea until you breed her, but you might be able to milk the doe. And being polled, your kids from her will have a 50% chance of being hornless...and a 25-50% of being blue eyed since she is blue eyed.

That must be why----the lady was aksing me if I was sure that I wanted her. Like she almost wanted to keep her. Sound like this one may have worked in my favor.

They are so little, like a newborn Boer kid--maybe bigger, but they seem so small in comparison.

You'll never hear that if you don't share your prices

I try not to talk too much about who I buy from, moreso than how much I buy for.. depends on the situation. -especially since I live in a very rural area now-- everyone knows everyone, and talks about everything.
We just bought 2 used pick up trucks. 1 was "in town" and everyone knew what I paid for it, because everyone knows the person who sold it, so there was no discussion on that one.

I think I hurt a few feelings when, although I shared the price on the other one ( it was a great deal) but I wouldn't tell anyone who I'd bought it from. I told them simply "there will be friends and foes of these people, and I don't want to hear the stories on either side. We bought it, we like it, and who they are doesn't matter"

Polled goats are pretty popular amongst people that disbud but don't like to do it (like, ALL of us!). I would love to have a polled buck...but right now all I have is one polled doe. She has freshened twice, and both of her kids have been polled (sired by horned bucks). Good record so far!

Great advice---My husband says he strokes the check and who cares how much we pay if I like it.

He is a good one.

I don't know how the market in Florida runs, but around here I tell people, you can't get a dog or cat out of the pound for what they spend on a registered, disbudded, full vaccinated Pygmy goat from our farm.
