is a broody hen bad if you dont mind not having eggs?

Hiya does it do harm to the hen if she goes broody with no fertilized eggs,and you dont mind if they stop laying for abit? Or do they stay broody forever if you dont snap her out of it? Just curious.

It could be bad for the hens health, they don't eat/drink/poop as often as non-broodys and could lose weight/get sick. If they aren't doing anything useful, I would put and end to it.

Oh ok,my hens havent even started laying yet but as I have silkies just wanted to be prepared,so how do you go about breaking a broody out of it?
