I have a groundhog living underneath the shed (our coop)... Is he going to do anything that would be a problem? I'd rather not get rid of him, because he's lived here for a LONG time, and it would probably be a pain. Thanks!!!

Only a problem is you're a bean plant. Other than competing with the chickens for greens it won't harm them. On the other hand, the tunnels they dig can offer refuge and entry for other, more dangerous pests like snakes and weasels. I'd prefer to keep them out from under my chicken coop.

Won't bother the chickens. I got rid of 2 so far because I like having gardens, and they chewed on my chainlink fence!

Make sure your birds don't start trying to act like plants and they won't be bothered by the groundhog.

But as others have already pointed out you have to make sure they don't leave tunnels for other critters to use in order to gain access to the birds.

I currently have a trap out for one I saw, hopefully some other critters will take it out for me.

I also have several gardens and don't need them around.
