I am quite certain you have a White JG. The willow colored legs are the desired for the breed/variety. And if you ordered brown layers, if it is a straight run, you probably have a boy there. The girls don't mature quite as quickly and don't get nearly as big as the cockerels.

White JG !!!! Happy happy! I re-counted heads today... 11 of the little characters. My order was supposed to be all pullets, but...well, there is that 90% guarantee thing. Could be a roo. Oh well, 1 roo, 10 hens... Hmmmmmm.. I have an orp that goes broody now and then. Maybe when this bunch gets grown, I'll give her something to sit on?

I just love sorting through a variety pak! Never know what I'll get.

A box of chicks is like a box of chocolates, you never really know what you are gonna get.

That is a nice pair JGs/Orps. You may have enough girls for two boys if this one is a cockerel. Both Orps and JGs are pretty calm birds. I have some together and so far, there isn't too much craziness going on. This is the season for finding out though.
