Is anyone else interested in cars and motorsport?

Looking for some help if anyone knows trucks here.

2002 dodge ram 1500 4.7 V8

A while ago it started dropping to low oil pressure whenever we stopped then went back to normal almost immediately we put some more oil in and that fixed it that was 3 or 4 weeks ago yesterday it started again I went to pickup oil and about 2 minutes from the store it dropped to low oil pressure and never returned about a minute later she started making like a clicking sound I filled it up with oil at first oil pressure was normal then I stopped it dropped to low and never returned to normal and she’s making some weird noises at idle and while revving.

Is it dropping oil and have you already checked for leaks? Also, when’s the last time you changed your oil filter?

Pat:

Change the oil. Like now. Pull the filter and cut it open. You're looking for glitter. That sounds like top end knock. Lifter or pushrod. I hope. Have you ever dropped the pan and looked at the pump pickup screen to make sure it's not clogged? May be time. Low oil pressure and that clatter sure sounds like oil starvation to me, and if you don't address it NOW you're going to eat that engine.

There's work in this to chase it down, but the time and money to do it now will be less than a rebuild.

Will try to get that done tomorrow I did not plan to drive it again till I figured out what was wrong and it was fixed.

Went to the drift track tonight this was probably my favorite picture of the night.
Haven’t gone through the rest yet I’ve got probably 500 to go through I was there for 5 hours from the start to finish of the event.
