It's a really pretty bird but I don't think it's a sultan. Normally all the Sultans I have seen have seen have heads similar to a polish and they have tons of feathers on their feet. Maybe it will feather out more as it gets older or could be a mix. You never know.

The ones I ordered from Welp are now 4 weeks old. I got 6 Barred Rock and 6 Black Sexlink, and they are super friendly. They all run for the door when my son enters as they know he brings the treats!

I'm so excited my bantam assortment was suppose to ship tomorrow but they sent me an e-mail saying that it shipped out today! I will post pics of what I all get once the chicks get here.

I LOVE bantams, suddenly. Well, not so suddenly, but suddenly I am only looking at bantam breeds. (Shhhh, don't tell my large fowl girls!)

The only problem with bantams is that they're straight run, not sexed..... so I started buying hatching eggs and incubating them. Now, think it through: hatched eggs are SO "straight run" it's not funny! How dumb is that???

But watching them hatch makes up for it. Until later, when I will have to find homes for the little boys.

I never really was a bantam fan, but for .99 each I couldn't resist. I just hope I can find people to buy the extras and the roos.....

I just ordered 25 chicks today too. They are supposed to ship next Thursday. I got 5 EEs, 10 barred rocks and 10 wyandottes. I'm excited.

I'm glad I'm not the only expecting chick parent!!! I have some coming from MPC, due the week of October 25'th!!
I ordered:
(2) Buff Silkie girls
(1)Partridge Silkie girl
(1) Partridge Silkie roo
(2)Speckled Sussex girls
(5)Assorted Brown egg layers girls...the possibilities were endless with this one. Out of about 20 or so breeds, there were only 3 that I wasn't crazy about. Can't wait to see what I got!!!!!

I was so jealous of you guys ordering the bantam special, that I called and ordered it, too. I just called a few minutes ago and the birds will be shipped today! How to hide 30 bantams from the husband....
