Is bedding that has baking soda in it (paper pellet litter for cat litter boxes or paper pellet bedding for guinea pigs/rabbits that have baking soda mixed with it) safe for all poultry birds of all ages? If baking soda is safe for cats and small animals, is it safe for chicks and adult poultry birds?

I'm not really sure if it is safe for chickens. :idunno
But will answer other part of your post. Cats and small animals usually do not eat the litter pellets.
I also read somewhere that a Mixture containing Baking soda (wont mention the formula, because in my mind it is a Cruel Way) will kill rats. I'm not a rat savior,, but feel that a quick trap method is more humane. :old
Consider wood pellets for chicken litter. I also use wood pellets in my Kitty litter pans.
