Is cat food OK for chickens?

I have 3 silkies that are a year old. They do not eat pellets, they will eat a few crumbles. They like scratch, tuna, cat food, mealworms (I tried to raise meal worms but it was too gross for me), grape leaves, comfrey and swiss chard. I hope canned cat food is not bad for them. They look fine except I wish they were a little fatter. I always have at least one broody girl and I'm always scooting a bird out of the nest to go eat.

Cat food is a good high protein treat for chickens. Most people just use kibble like a scratch.
