IS CHICK FOOD\STARTER OK FOR DUCKS?

Do you all think it's okay to use rumor unmedicated chick starter 24% for ducklings. It's hard to find a duck starter food. Wasn't sure and just wanted to find out. A bunch of people has said yes and a bunch says no. It's unmedicated and clearly states it on the bag. Thanks

I have been using a mixture of DuMor chick starter(unmedicated) and Duck food(with Niacin) which says on the back of the bag that it is for all ages of ducks and they have been eating well

Some people use chick starter and it works okay for them. If you do use chick starter you will need to add supplemental niacin to it, to learn all about that check out the Nutritional Yeast vs Brewers Yeast thread in the stickies. If you want a better option I would highly recommend ordering a bag of Mazuri waterfowl starter. It is a very high quality food formulated for ducklings and is recommended by avian vets.
