At the age of 8-9 weeks the hackle feathers are not one of the characteristics best used to assess gender - the differences in saddle and hackle feathers will come in a few more weeks as the bird goes through chicky-puberty. I would like to see a clear comb shot as well as a full body profile (tip to tail, legs included)
