Yes, he's my first best boy, who died last spring. I have a two year old son, who's not as good, and about ten April cockerels from Cackle, who have yet to be 'sifted and winnowed' down to maybe two.

Try wood ash instead

Thanks for your reply. When wood ash gets wet it becomes caustic, doesn't it? It's how lye is made. Could I put a small amount in the dust bath, or maybe activated charcoal?
