Hi all. I came across some Brahma hatching eggs for sale listed as "Lavender Buff Columbian" and I have raised 6 birds from them - they are approx 3 months old now. I absolutely love the colors - similar to Isabel but the gold comes through much stronger on the rooster. I am wondering if this is an actual color or is it just Isabel with a stronger gold tone? And how can I continue this color without re-breeding the offspring over and over? I have posted some pics of my chicks and a few of the parent stock which were imported from Belgium per breeder.
It seems like every time I see a chicken that is amazing, they are in North or South Carolina! What are you all doing to your chickens down there? Growing them in labs? I am fine with shipping eggs by the way, do they breed true to color?
