Is it a bad sign for an internal layer/ egg yolk peritonitis?

Thank you, ten chicks.

She eats and drinks well. She ate fresh 7-8 super worms that I got at PetSmart in the morning and about 1/3 cup of solid food that are seeds, oats, regular food, and dried meal worms. She also drinks water with probiotics. I switch it to electrolytes sometimes.

I hope that is the side effects from Baytril..

Thank you for the info, pwand.

Unfortunately, my husband had a bad experiment with the avian vet who is the only one in our area when he brought Bumpy who was ill for impacted crop.   He told me that will be useless and wasting money to take her to the vet.
He tried to bring Deckie to the vet when she started to look bad at first, but as soon as he called and talked to the vet, he recalled what happened last time when he brought Bumpy.
So he never want to bring any chickens to the vet for sure.

It didn't sound to harsh..but you are very generous to think of me.  Thank you, pwand.

So I just try to keep her in a good shape as possible as I can at home.

Sorry to hear the bad experience at the vet. That doesn't make it very easy. She is a well looked after hen. :)

Thank you, pwand. :)

I checked her body temperature just now. it was 106.3F, which is the normal range as I checked.

I am going to check on her body temp in the afternoon, which the Baytril that I gave her at noon yesterday is not effective in her body system anymore...

Update: 1/6/2014

Deckie is out of Baytril for 4 days so far.
I kept her in the darker place for most of the time and let her walk in our living room for 20 -30 minutes in total.
It has worked very well.
She hasn't been in labor at all. Her abdomen

is not enlarged either, which is good.

yesterday, I insert my finger into her vent little deeper that I reached to the very small hole that must be oviduct?
but I couldn't get it in.. that was too tight.
First time, these 2 pictures are after I put my finger in her vent.
After that, I went deeper to reach to the hole....then I saw some blood came out.. There is not pictures of that.. I forgot to take the pic.

No blood in her poops after all...

I still felt a tiny bump inside her vent, too.

She is kind of lethargic, but still have some energy to fight with Bumpy who has pendulous crop and stays in the large dog create.

She stays in the place most of the times.

This is Natto ( fermented soybeans) which is the new thing besides dried garlic and human calcium that I have fed Deckie for 4 days so far.
I have natto yeast so I can make the fermented soybeans at home without adding any preserves neither salt.
It is very sticky and smelly. LOL but it is very good stuff.

In Japan, some of them feed their birds Natto..

My husband assumes that Deckie could live for a couple months but not any longer.. I agree...
Well, she is not breathing hard, that makes me happy so far.

Today is the 6th day after I stopped giving her Bayrtil.

Last night's poops. My camera is not working well.. sometimes the lens cover doesn't open..
Anyway, her poops are still vary... I saw a lot of dark green liquid poop yesterday..

So her vent is dirty as well.

In the morning today.

She is still loosing a lot of feathers.. but some of them are coming back to grow too.

I inserted my finger with Ky jelly into her vent to examine what is going on her today.
Last time, when I went deeper to reach the obiduct?, which was really tight to put it in but today
I could do that.. No blood.
I ran out of disposable gloves so I used salan wrap ( plastic wrap) instead.

10 minutes later she pooped like the below.

So white... sorry.. I haven't vacuumed yet... dog's hair.. one of my dogs are shedding too.
I let her free while I was cleaning her bedding..

It the white stuff egg white???

I cleaned her butt.. her abdomen is still swollen but it is not enlarged so that
she doesn't breath in labor.

After a couple of white poops came out, she pooped the greenish poop..

but when I put it on the napkin, I see the poop is whitish than dark green still...

Oh well.. yesterday we found that one dead mouse that my husband and daughter's pet.
We have two... they fought to death and one killed the other one.

He is the survivor and killer. He lost one ear and the other was nibbled.
I don't ( didn't ) take care of the mice because I am not big fan of them.. They are like a mouse crawling around our house.
Anyway, I am wondering if the same spieces animals could kill to eat ???

Deckie loves to stand on the roomba. I think that is warm...
The dog is the one who is shedding a lot now..

Thanks enola. Yeah they were (are) male. I see... My husband got them about 10 month ago.. They have been okay..but I was little shocked to see this happened...
I had hamsters when I was a kid. When I touched a baby, the mother ate the baby, which was really shocking too.
