Is it a bad sign for an internal layer/ egg yolk peritonitis?

I am giving 0.7ml Baytril to Deckie who weighs 1987g which is the second day since ... It should be 0.5ml around... But it is working..
She is not breathing so hard now, and was able to walk around our living room for 5 minutes then stopped and slept.
She couldn't do it yesterday.

More and more, she has internal layer/ egg yolk peritonitis..

Do you keep her inside all the time? How much light is she exposed to on a daily basis? I ask because if she is getting excessive light, then you are contributing to the laying. Reduce the amount of light she gets a day to about 10 hours and she may stop laying. Even inside light bulbs will trigger laying if they are in the "warm" spectrum.

Also, if they are internal layers, reduce the amount of feed or protein she gets. Some hens are able to absorb the yolk. I would think those hens wouldn't need as much feed. Just my thoughts.

Thank you, Mrsbachbach. Yeah, I keep her inside of our house for a year since she was attacked by fox.
I also give her limited day light time, too. She goes to bed at 3:30pm, and gets up 6:00am. She walks around in our living room for 1-2 hours a day, then I put her in the darker spot which is in the bathroom.
oh, now... she spends most of the time in her bed now.. She is really weak.

Ahh... The Light bulb... Kids leaves the light on in the bathroom sometimes...

Thank you for that. :)

I also noticed you were giving her calcium pills. Try oyster shell from the feed store. Just leave it in a bowl for her and let her take what she wants.

Thanks for your advice!
I will try both of two. I gave up to feed her oyster shell because she didn't eat it before. But she may pick some if I leave it sometimes. I may be too quick to judge the decision.

The light bulb is a good idea also. I will change it .

Thank you again.

Hm? I remember that because Baytril is a strong antibiotic that kill also good bacteria , and doesn't absorb any nutritions?

So, I can give her calcium before Baytril, several hours later...?
