Is it a bad sign for an internal layer/ egg yolk peritonitis?

Ah... I have a question about penicillin tablets. 250mg tablet

My husband dissolved one tablet with less 1/2cup water and put the tablet liquid into her mouth using an ear syringe.

I really don't know how I am supposed to give her the medicine.

Is it okay to do the way?

Oh, Okay. I am not really sure it is really mucus... between water and mucus?? I didn't notice about the point. I will check it out when she poops next time.

By the way, I agree with the infection. hmm.. I hope she will be okay.

Thanks!

Just open her mouth and stick it in, she should be able to swallow it. Have you ever given pills to a cat ot dog? Same thing, lol.

She pooped again. Can you see how it looks like? It is not too mucus though... It was little hard to keep the stickiness.

Oh... It was not easy to stick the tablet into her mouth. LOL She is a quite fighter! Oh my goodness,
She spitted 1/2 of the tablet out!! How could she do that. Well, I cut it into a half to give her. May be I better not to cut in a half then. Anyway I was successful at the end. I am sissy. LOL

I have a peahen that's quite the fighter, so I hold onto her and gently massage the pills down her esophagus into her crop. IMO, her poop is not normal, hope it starts to firm up with the antibiotics. When is your Baytril due? And you are giving 250mg penicillin twice a day, right?

I am sure that she is a quite the fighter!lol
I can't imagine how you manage such a big bird!
Thank you for the tip to give her the tablet.
I will try it out tomorrow morning.

Yes, I give her penicillin twice a day, which was the first day of the medication today.

My Baytril will be here on Monday.

The poop is not normal which I expected.
But I didn't know what it was normal or not, Thank you for telling me about that.

I also hope that this penicillin works on her.
Fingers crossed!
