Is it a cockerel...or not?

my 5 week old oegb looks like a cockerel but acts like a hen. Do any of you know why this is happening.

At 5 weeks there is no "acting like" either gender - both sexes engage in the same behaviors at that point. I would suggest taking and posting a photo (or two) of the bird in question. If by "looks like a cockerel" you mean it has had significant growth and coloration of comb and wattles and/or is developing a plumage pattern that would be gender specific for the type of OEGB you have - that's another matter.
