Is it chick-envy? or have I gone broody?

I don't want my chickens to go broody but I think I have too.Broody hens are bad influences

. I need some cute fluffy chicks before my chickens hatch any. I want EE chicks but I can't find any at TSC or my feed store

I hear TSC has them on sale.....

I will have to eventually... I'm just afraid of hatching all roosters!! That's the only thing holding me back!

The funny thing is my hens are louder than my roosters!! But I don't like sleeping in, so their early morning banter doesn't bother me at all.

Bunnies are cute!! I might be looking for one of those in the fall, when 4H projects start up again.

I can cure the broodies !!!!!!!!! come to my house and clean up the 4 chick brooders 2x a day, deal with the spilled water, pasty butt, and popping up of way too many red combs. then stare at the new dickey incubator slowly rotate the next batch back and forth, back and forth, back and forth...... until you realize that you have been standing there for 20 minutes

You know what I did? Asked my husband if I could have $100 for hatching eggs since I can't have a rooster. He balked. The next day, I was like "Honey, you know boy ducks don't crow?"... That means I can have boy duckies to breed my OWN hatching eggs, thus avoiding the need for buying them online... and babe, you KNOW how risky that is.

So I have duck eggs on the way. Hehehe!
