Is it normal behavior

for an eight week old chick to run and jump on top of the others??


he/she will run, flap, and demolish the others, even if they're laying down!

is this a pecking order thing?

or just happy to be outside thing??

I have three older pullets that crash into each other, banter back and forth, and the youngest pullet antagonizes the rooster, who very sweetly plays for a hop or two and then dispatches her with a wing dance. It's hailarious to watch!
