Is it normal for chickens to have multicolored shanks

Today when I was with my flock I picked up one of my hens and noticed for the first time she has patches of black scales on her white legs is this normal or is something else going on
She’s an olive egger by the way

Think of it as freckles. Unless the scales are raised, it's just a pigment thing.
