I want a Polish so bad but DH says no. I'm not sure why but he does. Maybe its the way they look. I just think they are so darn cute. He told me he won't pay for it so I am trying to figure out a little side job so I can get one ( or two)
I started with 2, then 5. now I am looking to build a bigger coop ,buying an incubator to raise some of the lines of cocain with wings. no it not an addiction.lol
I started out with 14 chicks this May...then got another 10 in July and am placing an order for another 30 next spring. Do I have a problem...yes I do...and I also have an enabler DH who is just as enamoured of my chooks as I am.
I'm considering selling my horses to get more chickens
...I may need to go lay down 'till that urge goes away.
Im really starting to think its something with BYC! Its like the twilight zone here, you just lost in everything. Before you know it your on here at midnight ordering more chickens.
I started this year without any chickens. I told DH that I just wanted one chicken! Well that one turned into 2, then 4 and then I found out about EE's.
So 4 turned into 6! In March I ordered 6 standards. And was itching for more! I wanted this kind and then..no wait this is the kind I want. Haha. Well I just recieved my 6 banties this past Thur. from Ideal and wish DH was more of a push over! I already use the "I dont know where this kitty came from. She just showed up on the door step." I really dont think it would work with chickens though.
I have an 8x8 coop and a nice run. Figured it would be plenty big enough. I have tried to convince DH we need to build another coop. He says no. I don't have denial-he does. How can I fit more chickens into a full coop?
What addiction? This summer we were thinking of finally closing shop with chickens since our 7 veterans were 4-6 yrs. old and no longer laying for months. Then we got a shelter dog (who's since gone back) who scared the hmmm out of our old gals and they suddenly went into egg laying big-time! ("OK, OK, lay off the 'wolf' already! We'll lay!") So we decided to keep going with chickens and now we find ourselves with varied chicks, totaling 19 and probably adding a roo at some point..........wow, how'd that happen?
Guess I just can't imagine the place without 'em!
Oh, and our poor family can't get their usual big turns on the computer since I discovered BYC!!
