I understand... but unless they are accepted by the APA as one, then they're not an actual breed...
Hatcheries are for profit... they produce chicks from breeds in mass quantity to supply a market... they also know they have to compete with other hatcheries... so coming up with custom hybrids, or reproducible, sustainable specialty birds to target specific needs/wants in the market is their goal... they experiment, come up with something new or a variation of something already out there, slap a label name on it and it becomes a new fad...
